Tribute to Mrs. John D. Ure
Mrs. John Duffy Ure died suddenly and unexpectedly in my arms on Sunday, October 12, at 3:25 PM. She was best known by her friends as Abby. Tears are in my eyes as I write this, and I was doing pretty well until I had to change the she is best known that I wrote to she was best known using the past tense. It causes a lump in my throat due to the sadness I am feeling. Her maiden name was Elvarhe Belle Rose and her mother was Ida Belle Rose. We all called her Grandma but the adults always called her Ida Belle. I never knew my grandpa, Ashel Orlin Rose because he died when my mom was just 17 in August 1944.
